This Data Policy is issued by Charred Oaks Digital, LLC, the owner and operator of Moundball ("App"). Charred Oaks Digital, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Moundball and related services ("Services"). By using the App, you agree to this Data Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the following types of information when you use Moundball:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, phone number, and email address.

  • One-Time-Password (OTP): If you choose to create an account, we collect and process your phone number to send OTPs via SMS for authentication purposes. By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Moundball for authentication and security purposes. You may opt out of SMS communications by contacting support@moundball.app. However, opting out of OTP messages will prevent you from accessing your account. If you do not wish to share your phone number or receive SMS messages, you will not be able to create an account or use the App.

  • Game Data: We collect data on the games you participate in, including gameplay actions and your Moundbucks balance. Moundbucks are virtual points used exclusively for gameplay within the App and do not hold any monetary or redeemable value.

  • Device & Usage Information: We may collect data on your device type, operating system, IP address, and app usage patterns.

  • Communications: If you contact support or provide feedback, we collect details of your inquiry.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the collected data to:

  • Provide and improve the App experience.

  • Authenticate and secure user accounts.

  • Manage gameplay, leaderboards, and Moundbucks scoring.

  • Communicate updates, promotions, and customer support responses.

  • Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.

  • We use your phone number to send OTPs via SMS for secure login and account verification.

3. DATA SHARING & DISCLOSURE

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data in the following cases:

  • With Service Providers: We may share data with third-party providers to support our Services (e.g., hosting, analytics, customer support).

  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect Moundball’s rights.

  • Business Transfers: If Moundball is involved in a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred.

4. DATA SECURITY

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no online platform can guarantee complete security. Users are responsible for keeping account credentials secure.

5. DATA RETENTION

  • Game-related data and in-app usage information may be stored for analytical purposes.

  • If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information, except where required by law. Game data and Moundbucks balances will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

  • User data may be stored on secure servers within the United States.

6. USER RIGHTS & CHOICES

  • Access & Correction: You can review and update your account information in the App.

7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Moundball is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover such data, it will be deleted.

8. SMS OPT-OUT POLICY


If you wish to stop receiving SMS messages from Moundball, reply "STOP" to any message or contact support@moundball.app. Note that opting out of security-related messages (such as OTPs) may prevent access to your account.

9. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Data Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the App or email. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
